Responsibilities
As the Quality Manager, you will be the cornerstone of quality assurance and control within the company supporting approx 35 staff on the factory floor. Your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the primary point of contact for all customer complaints, liaising across departments to rectify issues, document processes, and ensure continual improvement.
* Conducting DuPro inspections and checking parts and products throughout production and assembly areas.
* Implementing corrective actions in a dynamic environment to minimise impact on production flow and customer expectations.
* Documenting non-conformances and monitoring the solution process.
* Leading quality assurance and control initiatives across the business.
* Performing cyclical quality inspections of incoming goods from suppliers.
* Collaborating with all departments to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
* Regularly visiting key suppliers to establish and enforce quality standards.
* Supporting the Health & Safety Manager in implementing risk assessments and health & safety controls.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience within a Quality Managerrole or similar from a manufacturing environment
* A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently while considering the wider business.
* Proficiency in developing quality processes and documentation, such as SOPs.
* Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident appearance.
* Good experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, etc.).
* Previous experience in a shop floorworking environment.
* A customer first approach.
* Well-organised and comfortable working with ERP systems.
* Previous experience in the furniture industry is advantageous.
