Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Manchester/South Yorkshire
Salary: £30k - £35k DOE
Core Purpose:
To ensure good/outstanding quality of education across ESFA funded contracts (including directly funded and subcontracted provision) throughout the organisation, by maintaining standards, systems and quality controls which meet the requirements of funding and awarding bodies, Ofsted criteria and recognised good practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting and maintaining standards – set clear and high expectations of all staff involved with responsibility for learning, including managers and delivery staff
Monitoring and evaluation – conduct formal and informal OTLA and scrutiny of learner work, learner documents and learner voice to identify good practice and areas for development
Staff recruitment – work with relevant managers to recruit effective and appropriate
delivery staff using safer recruitment practice
Safeguarding – acting as the designated safeguarding officer for the AEB contract.
Ofsted – maintain up to date SAR and ensure that provision is prepared for successful inspection and represent the organisation as nominee
Quality Improvement – co-ordinate quality improvement activity to address findings of SAR, setting and evaluating actions and reporting regularly to the AEB Board
QAR – work with other managers to deliver strong and improving qualification achievement rates.
Business development – support in the procurement of new business, including bid writing and new types of provision
Essential Criteria
Curriculum design and planning
Development and implementation of quality improvement plans
Development and delivery of CPD for teaching staff
Meeting educational quality standards and working within the Ofsted Education
Inspection Framework
Experience of leading an Ofsted inspection
