Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year Requirements: We require that you must have, or be able to obtain, SC Clearance. We are looking for a strong team player who can also work independently on your own projects. We need good programming experience in some or all of the following technologies: Linux (Debian, Ubuntu), Apache, MySQL database administration, Bash, Python, PHP, ReactJS, and NodeJS. We require experience with CI/CD pipelines and working in Bitbucket and JIRA environments. We need experience with at least one test framework such as Xray, Pytest, Jest, or Cypress. Experience with SonarQube code quality tools is desirable. Knowledge of SOA architectures is desirable. Working knowledge of satellite networks and infrastructure is desirable. Experience with Asterisk and VoIP platforms is desirable. We require a Degree (2:1) or HND/HNC in Computer Science, Programming, Engineering, or a related area, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience. Responsibilities: We will have you lead and work as part of a team in our system design and development processes. We will expect you to use bespoke and open-source software, primarily Linux-based, to add value to our in-house and customer solutions. We will ask you to coordinate with the Head of Technology and help lead and mentor our Developer and Graduate Developer in your immediate team. We will expect you to work with our main development technologies, including Debian, Apache, MySQL, Python, PHP, ReactJS, and NodeJS. We will expect you to continue improving your skills in software versioning and task management. We will rely on you to contribute to the ongoing success of our development capability within the MOD sector.
