Your new company
You will be working with Solihull Council, where you will be part of a great organisation who put people at the heart of everything they do.
Your new role
When a family arrives at the service, as a team, you will put together an assessment to suit the needs of each individual in order to assess their parenting skills and ability to safely care for their child. Every day can be different for their residents depending on their needs and circumstances. Residents are assessed on daily parenting techniques such as general care with feeding, nappy changes, bath time, safety and protection, and emotional warmth. The service assessments are more than just observing the parent and the child. You will be there to offer advice and support to help them develop their skills in areas beyond parenting. You will be liaising with the social worker and making sure everything is child-centered.
You will promote service users' rights, dignity, and empowerment. In addition, you will respect emotional wellbeing and obtain consent for care, creating opportunities for individuals to achieve desired outcomes. Supporting physical, emotional, social, and intellectual wellbeing is also important in this role.
The role is 2 days a week - 18.5 hours (Monday, Tuesday/ Tuesday, Wednesday).
