SME Inside Sales Executive

Employer: Volkswagen Financial Services (UK)

Salary: Up to £36,000.00 per annum, dependent on experience

Location: Milton Keynes, MK15 8HG

Hybrid Working: Minimum 20% of working time in the Milton Keynes office; flexible arrangement to meet business needs.

Hours / Contract Type: Full Time Permanent – 35 hours per week

Job Description

We’re looking for an Inside Sales Executive dedicated to securing business from SME-sized prospects and customers (typically 5‑99 vehicles, non‑regulated). The role is primarily carried out through digital and telephony‑based sales strategies, providing detailed options, support and proactive guidance to prospects considering VWFS for the first time and to existing customers seeking renewals or additional vehicles.

The specialist role is instrumental in delivering excellent customer service to future and existing customers.


What You’ll Be Doing

* Make quality high‑volume outbound calls to corporate fleet prospects, following up marketing qualified leads in a timely manner, with the aim to introduce our fleet services and achieve targets at agreed margin levels.
* Make quality high‑volume outbound calls to existing corporate fleet customers to promote value‑added products and undertake renewal discussions.
* Remotely account‑manage a portfolio of existing customers, increasing VWFS fleet and wallet share while maintaining strong service relationships.
* Add value at every sales and customer touchpoint, ensuring customers receive appropriate information to make informed decisions while maximizing every business opportunity.
* Maintain high‑level fleet product knowledge and recognise the features and benefits of our business contract hire product and associated value‑added products.
* Source leads within our retailer network to ensure replacement vehicles are ordered and delivered.


What You’ll Bring

You’ll be experienced in the automotive or a regulated financial services environment.

You’ll have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.


Essential Experience & Skills

* Sound knowledge of fleet products and services – full training will be provided to the right individual.
* Previous experience in inside sales, telephone account or telesales roles with high‑volume outbound calling.
* Driven and ambitious with a strong desire to succeed and comfortable stretching sales targets.
* Confident and professional telephone manner.
* Accurate data capture with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent time‑management with a tenacious, resilient, self‑motivated attitude.

* Discretionary 10% on‑target bonus (based on personal and group company performance).
* Employer pension contribution of 9% (based on employee contribution of 3%). VWFS will pay 6% if employee chooses a 2% contribution.
