Site Manager Salary or Hourly Rate £18667 Type of vacancy Permanent Work pattern Part Time Hours per week 25 Work Base John T Rice Infant & Nursery School, Mansfield, NG19 0LL Closing Date 10 June 2026 12:00 We are looking for a reliable, practical and friendly School Site Manager to join our team at John T Rice Infant School. This is a vital role within our school community, helping to ensure that our site is safe, clean, welcoming and well maintained for our children, staff and visitors. Working hours 6am-11am Monday to Friday (25 hours per week) with 25 days holidays per year (to be taken in the school holidays). The successful candidate will: • Enjoy working in a school environment and genuinely love children • Have a good sense of humour and be approachable and positive • Take pride in maintaining a tidy, safe and attractive school site • Have excellent attention to detail • Be willing to take some responsibility for cleaning floors and maintaining high standards of cleanliness • Have experience carrying out handyman or basic maintenance jobs • Have some understanding or experience of health and safety procedures • Be prepared to undertake the routine tasks of health and safety either daily, weekly or monthly (training will be given for this) • Be hardworking, dependable and able to use their own initiative • Work well as part of a team while also being confident working independently Duties will include: • Opening the school site • General maintenance and minor repairs • Overseeing a small budget • Ensuring the school grounds are tidy and safe • Supporting cleanliness across the site, including floor care • Monitoring health and safety around the premises and completing the relevant paperwork • Working alongside the Head teacher to maintain excellent levels of health and safety • Liaising with contractors and school staff when required In return, we offer: • A welcoming and supportive school community • Friendly staff and wonderful children • A varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same • Specific training in all aspects of health and safety If you are practical, organised, and take pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn in, we would love to hear from you.
