Summary
You must be over 18 years old, experience preferred however full training can be given.
We are seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member / Front of House Staff to join our team at The Play Shed.
In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our centre, ensuring that all visitors have a positive experience, combined with been confidant in food handling, cooking and preparation while, maintaining a clean environment along with adhering to food safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Greet, sign in and assist customers as they arrive at the play centre.
* Manage the front desk operations, including check-ins and enquiries.
* Food preparation and service, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization and delivering meals in a timely manor.
* Be able to lead the kitchen in cooking to order and direct staff during busy periods.
* You will be cooking to order
* Work Independently and part of a team
* Prepare party buffets
* Food preparation
* Engage with children and parents to enhance their experience at The Play Shed
* Handle cash and card payments
* Handle emails and phone calls
* Cleaning, stock control, Ordering and keeping records
* Must have or willing to undertake minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen awareness
* Be responsible for opening/closing the kitchen and centre
* Be confident to deliver and turn around parties
Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience desired but not essential
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
* Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking effectively.
* Passion for customer service and creating enjoyable experiences.
* Must be 18 years or older
* Enjoy and be confident in both kitchen and front of house with sound knowledge of allergens and safe kitchen procedures.
Hours are Flexible 16-24 hours per hours per week must include weekday availability and/or either alternate weekends or 1 weekend day and minimum of 3 weekday days in school holidays due to the nature of the setting
Hours are between 9am-6pm weekends and school holidays and 3.30pm midweek term time (General weekend and school holiday finish is approximately 6pm unless on exclusive parties which is 7.45pm
Salary dependant on age and experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £12.41 per hour
