An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to join a growing SME manufacturing business in Oldbury that supplies precision components to both the Automotive and Aerospace sectors. This role offers genuine autonomy within a flat organisational structure, allowing the successful candidate to make an immediate impact. It would suit either a Senior Quality Engineer ready to step into management or an experienced Quality Manager looking for a role where they can take ownership of the quality function and drive improvements across the business. Key Responsibilities Maintaining, monitoring and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) Managing day-to-day quality activities including problem solving using 8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis and PPAP Leading and supporting internal, customer and third-party audits Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS9100 standards Managing customer quality relationships across Automotive and Aerospace clients Monitoring and reporting quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives Mentoring and developing junior members of the quality team Supporting wider business improvement and operational excellence initiatives Candidate Requirements Proven experience in Quality Management within Automotive, Aerospace, or precision engineering manufacturing Strong knowledge of QMS systems and industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and/or AS9100) Experience managing customer audits and supplier quality issues Strong problem-solving capability and experience with structured quality tools Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills For fulfilling the role of Quality Manager, our client can offer a competitive salary of up to £70,000 along with reasonable job security and a supportive senior management team.
