Overview
Role - Slinger/ Yard Person
Location - Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full time hours
Capacity of role - Temporary to Permanent position
Rate of pay - Up to £16.10 per hour
Responsibilities
* To assist in the lifting and moving by mobile crane of steel plates working and communicating closely with the crane driver and machine operator to have material ready for the machines.
* After processing these will need to be put away into appropriate stock areas making sure plates are marked appropriately.
* Unloading materials from deliveries and putting away into the appropriate areas.
* Maintaining the health and safety and cleanliness of the yard
* Review existing storage locations, disposing of redundant stock
* General labouring duties as required.
Candidate attributes / Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a similar position
* Good communication skills - both written and verbal
