The AWS Data Architect needs to conduct design workshops and work sessions to gather, analyse business requirements and translate complex business needs into effective AWS-based technical solutions. Your responsibilities: Create high-level blueprints for managing data assets and design scalable, secure AWS data solutions that align with business objectives. Design and build data models, pipelines, and storage solutions using various AWS data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda). Establish data policies, standards, and security controls (like encryption and access management) to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility. Work with business analysts, data engineers, and other teams to gather requirements, propose migration strategies, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs. Provide expertise in data management technologies, best practices, and emerging trends within the AWS ecosystem, often mentoring junior team members. Understand organizational needs and translate them into executable data strategy roadmaps and technical designs. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: 8 years of experience in software development and architecture. 5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS. Strong proficiency in AWS services primarily Amazon SQS, Lambda, S3, CloudTrail, Aurora PostgreSQL, API Gateway, IAM, AWS Athena. Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and containerization. Proficiency in programming languages, primarily Python and Node.js, will be a good addition. Expertise in DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Git etc.). Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, data protection, and threat mitigation strategies. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (preferred). Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: Deep expertise in data modeling and integration Ability to conduct design workshops and work sessions to gather and analyse business requirements Proven ability to translate complex business needs into effective AWS-based technical solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
