The business continues to grow itsmercial footprint and is now seeking an Assistant Director of Sales to strengthen its client engagement and revenue performance.
Your new role
In this senior sales position, you will support the widermercial leadership team in driving growth across several strategic market segments. Your role will involve developing targeted sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and representing the organisation at external meetings, showcases, and industry activities.
You will manage a defined portfolio of accounts, lead proactive outreach, prepare tailored proposals, conduct client visits, and deliverpelling presentations. You will also coordinate and host client appointments, site tours, and engagement initiatives to reinforce strong partnerships and enhance conversion levels.
This position requires close collaboration with colleagues across marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure a seamless experience for clients. You will track account performance, support forecasting activities, maintain accurate records ofmercial activity, and contribute to continuous improvement across the sales function. As part of the senior team, you will also help guide and support sales colleagues through mentoring and shared planning.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Recent experience in a senior sales or account management role
2. Strong background working with corporate clients or business‑to‑business markets
3. Evidence of driving new business and managing strategic accounts
4. Confident in leading external meetings, presentations, and business development activity
5. Strongmercial awareness and experience developing structured sales plans
6. Excellentmunication, organisational and relationship‑building skills
7. Ability to analyse performance data and identify growth opportunities
8. Experience working cross‑functionally with teams such as operations or marketing
9. A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
