Job Title: Catering Manager
Location: Mercenfield Primary School, Markfield
Employment type: Full-time
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Term: Term-time only (32 weeks per year)
The Role
We are hiring a Catering Manager who will ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term-time only with no weekends, offering flexibility.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
* To ensure the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures
* To maintain the company’s reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers, with expectations consistently exceeded
* To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
* To be the main point of contact for the client in the school, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are recommended and implemented
* Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets and ensure they are achieved
* Supporting and training teams, leading from the front to ensure everyone can excel, completing training and managing performance
