Position Overview
Due to the rapid expansion of our business, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Recruitment to lead our recruitment operations and drive continued growth both nationally and internationally. This senior role requires a hands-on leader who has the vision to drive business development, manage client relationships, and oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing our client base, managing our recruitment processes, and leading our recruitment team to new heights. Whilst primarily focused on recruitment, there may be occasions where support is required for our training division, though we have an established team in place to maintain and deliver on this front.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Operations (85%)
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow our client base
Conduct cold calling and outreach to prospective clients across target sectors
Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in dental practices and educational institutions
Deliver compelling presentations of our services and value proposition
Negotiate and secure terms agreements with new clients
Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact to contract signature
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as primary point of contact for key client accounts
Conduct comprehensive Hiring Success Assessments with clients
Provide ongoing consultation and strategic recruitment advice
Ensure exceptional client service delivery and satisfaction
Manage client expectations and maintain long-term partnerships
Identify opportunities for account expansion and repeat business
Recruitment Process Management:
Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle from needs assessment to placement
Conduct candidate sourcing through various channels including headhunting, networking, and database management
Manage our extensive candidate database across multiple sectors
Perform candidate screening, interviewing, and assessment
Coordinate interview processes between clients and candidates
Provide candidate preparation and coaching services
Negotiate offers and manage the placement process
Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor and develop the existing Recruitment Consultants, particularly in client-facing skills
Provide training and support to overcome confidence barriers in business development
Set clear performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews
Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to align recruitment and marketing efforts
Training Division Support (10%)
Occasional Training Support:
Provide support to the training division when required
Assist with training business development opportunities as they arise
Contribute to training client relationships where recruitment synergies exist
Support training programme coordination when needed
Strategic & Administrative Responsibilities (5%)
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to overall business strategy and growth planning
Analyse market trends and identify new opportunities
Provide regular reports on recruitment performance
Participate in strategic decision-making with the C.E.O
General Business Support:
Support various ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
Assist with business operations and process improvements
Contribute to marketing and promotional activities
Maintain industry knowledge and professional development
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Essential Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
Proven track record of business development and client acquisition
Experience in candidate sourcing, screening, and placement
Strong background in sales and relationship management
Previous experience managing recruitment teams
Understanding of recruitment legislation and best practices
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
Leadership and team development skills
Commercial acumen and business development expertise
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Proficiency in CRM systems and recruitment databases
