Job Description
We have a vacancy in our Europe & India Central Operations Team and currently have an opportunity for a Deputy Travel Manager to join us to support our existing team. The role would ideally suit an existing junior travel manager with experience managing programmes of $1 - $2m and looking to develop to lead larger programmes of up to $10 - $15m over three to four years.
Our Europe & India Central Operations Team manage a diverse range of business projects, initiatives and suppliers which support the business in our region, including travel and resilience. With this role you will be supporting our existing team in a deputy capacity, gaining experience managing our Europe and India travel programme, and helping to roll out our next 3-5 year travel contract. You will also help to manage our travel supply chain, support traveller safety and well-being through our resilience programme and work with our Global Travel team to co-ordinate the regional programme within the Global portfolio. Being at the centre of travel for a region with around 10,000 employees, and part of a global team, you will also learn how to handle some of the challenges of being an international business.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supporting the existing team with the roll out of the new travel contract
* Preparing for meetings with travel suppliers, and managing follow up
* Overseeing day to day management of vehicle hire suppliers
* Overseeing responses to traveller queries and complaints
* Maintaining internal business systems
* Communicating travel updates to employees
* Support with incident response

Qualifications
* Applicants should have experience in either the travel industry, as a project manager or as a procurement manager ideally with responsibility for portfolios or programmes of at least $1-$2m/year.
* Good knowledge of European and Global travel systems and ideally the travel industry.
* Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focus.
* Ability to record and analyse data at scale efficiently and methodically with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills with computer skills in the Microsoft toolset.
* A mindset to responsibly integrate AI into day-to-day workflows.
* Hard working and highly motivated individual.
* Client focused with good interpersonal skills and team approach.
* Willing and able to visit other locations on company business, if necessary.
* Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team.
