We are seeking a SME Sales Manager to join our expanding business sales team at Ecotricity.
The primary responsibility is to grow Ecotricity’s SME customer base according to forecasted growth, managing accounts effectively to generate new business.
The role involves supporting sales campaigns, collaborating with the sales team, B2B service teams, and trading department to secure and retain energy contracts, and working closely with registration and service departments to ensure smooth account management.
This varied, challenging, and rewarding role requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
Core Responsibilities
1. Achieve individual targets aligned with the B2B plan
2. Provide excellent customer service, understanding client needs and fostering strong relationships
3. Generate quotations for Gas and Power contracts, from tender to negotiation and acceptance
4. Implement strategies to engage existing clients and acquire new business
5. Collaborate with other departments to promote the company’s brand and products
6. Propose innovative solutions for client acquisition
7. Support the launch of new products/services and cross-sell where appropriate
8. Follow up on account requests, industry queries, and general account management
9. Assist with aftersales support and customer care
10. Attend client meetings off-site as required
11. Prepare various reports for senior leaders
12. Ensure availability to take calls and work proactively with the SME sales team to cover phone lines
13. Process tenancy changes via CRM and Salesforce systems, proactively contacting sales opportunities
About You
Knowledge Required
* Understanding of the energy industry (desirable but not essential)
* Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce or similar CRM
* Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
