Job Description:
Were looking for a motivated and hands-on Labourer to join our on-site team at Worthy Down Barracks, Winchester, SO21 2RG.
In this varied and practical role, youll provide support with a wide range of general and semi-skilled tasks, both indoors and outdoors, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for our clients and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general and semi-skilled tasks as directed by your line manager.
* Maintain work areas to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
* Support the movement and setup of furniture, stores, and other equipment.
* Undertake minor repairs and maintenance using hand tools or power tools.
* Assist with outdoor duties such as cleaning external areas, clearing footpaths, or gritting during winter months.
* Handle waste and recycling correctly to support environmental standards.
* Follow all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures at all times.
* Attend training sessions, team briefs, and reviews to support personal and professional development.
* Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues, clients, and site users.
What Youll Need:
Essential:
* Previous experience in a similar hands-on or facilities support role.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools.
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
Desirable:
* Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification.
* Forklift truck licence.
* Experience working in a military or secure environment.
