Do you have experience delivering high-value civil engineering and structures works? Then you could make a significant impact on HMP Glasgow, one of Scotland's largest construction projects, located approximately 10 miles North East of Glasgow city center. We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team.
This role offers the chance to be involved in delivering a modern, new-build custodial facility that is secure, energy-efficient, and of high specification, accommodating 200 inmates and staff.

Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate subcontractor partners to deliver work packages such as Earthworks, Drainage, Structural Frame, roofing, cladding, interior fit-out, and finishing, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
* Inspect work carried out by subcontractors to ensure it aligns with project timelines, design drawings, and quality standards.
* Review risk assessments and method statements from subcontractors for safety and appropriateness.
* Conduct toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure compliance with Kier standards.
* Coordinate site logistics, including movement of plant and labor, maintaining safety at all times.
* Report issues or delays to the site/project manager.
* Maintain accurate and timely site reports and documentation.
* Collaborate with the wider project team to resolve challenges effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience managing major civil and structural work packages, preferably within a main contracting environment.
* Strong commitment to health and safety standards on site.
* Ability to oversee large work packages on a busy site.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree/SVQ) or technical trade qualification.
* SMSTS 5-day certification.
* CSCS card.
* First Aid certification.
* Full UK driving license.
