As our Cook, you’ll play an important part in daily life at the unit by preparing and serving meals that are nutritious, varied and suited to individual needs. You’ll plan menus with the Unit Manager, cater for special diets and make good use of fresh ingredients. Baking is an important part of what we do, and you’ll also help make seasonal events and celebrations feel special through food.
Your day will include:
1. Maintain high hygiene and safety standards
2. Manage food stocks and ordering
3. Support and work alongside other catering staff
4. Involve residents in food preparation where possible, helping to build a sense of connection and inclusion
About You
You enjoy cooking and take real pride in creating meals that bring comfort and care. You have catering experience and hold, or are willing to gain, a basic food hygiene certificate. You’re practical, reliable and enjoy being part of a team. You understand the importance of safety and routine in a kitchen and feel confident chatting with residents in a friendly, welcoming way. If you bring warmth, attention to detail and a caring approach to your work, you’ll feel right at home here.

5. Ongoing training and development
6. Wellbeing resources and support
7. A culture that values every individual’s contribution
