Role Summary
As HR Manager at Battenhall, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the People & Operations team. This includes overseeing core HR processes, supporting the full global team, championing our values, and driving initiatives that reinforce the Battenhall culture and drive employee engagement.
Responsibilities
Working as part of our People & Operations team, an HR Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with global business goals
* Being a trusted advisor to senior leadership and management on all people matters
* Ensuring policies and practices are in line with UK employment law and also support diversity, equity and inclusion
* Maintaining accurate HR records and managing global systems including Employer of Record services
* Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts and exit interviews
* Monitoring HR metrics such as absenteeism, diversity, and turnover rate to support leadership in making data-informed decisions
* Keeping up-to-date on legal changes and advising on updates accordingly
* Supporting managers with probation, performance review cycles and performance improvement plans
* Managing company benefits and liaising with external providers
* Being the first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, procedures and benefits
Skills and qualifications
* Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist, ideally within a growing, medium-sized creative, media, or agency environment
* Experience working within a global team is essential
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) essential
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance with a foundational knowledge of global markets, including the U.S. and Asia, to support international growth
* Experience using systems such as a global payroll platform or Employer of Record
* Highly organised with a proactive, strategic, solutions-focused approach
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* Confident presentation skills
* Proven experience working with Senior Leadership, finance teams and lawyers
