Join a well-established publishing and events company based in Baldock, specialising in the heritage, conservation, and historic buildings sector. With a loyal client base that includes national societies and niche associations, this business produces a wide range of specialist publications and organises respected industry events. They are now seeking a Sales Executive to focus on consultative, relationship-led advertising sales.
Sales Executive – Details:
1. Office-based role, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday
2. 35-hour working week
3. 22 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
4. Commission scheme

Sales Executive – Responsibilities:
6. Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of existing advertisers
7. Proactively reach out to a database of potential advertisers
8. Advise clients on appropriate advertising options across multiple publications
9. Coordinate with the Production and Sales Admin Manager to meet publishing deadlines
10. Track competitor activity and support the development of new advertising leads
11. Support layout and content planning discussions where appropriate
12. Maintain a consultative sales approach tailored to each publication's niche audience
13. Contribute to revenue targets across a range of annual, quarterly, and biannual titles
Sales Executive – What We’re Looking For:
14. Previous experience in sales, ideally in publishing or advertising
15. A relationship-driven sales style - this is not a cold-calling environment
16. Strong written and verbal communication skills
17. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects
18. Confidence using CRM systems and general IT tools
19. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with team support
20. An interest in heritage, conservation, or architecture would be a bonus
