Our client are a well known organisation within the education sector looking for a Head of Facilities to run their campus operations.
Job Description
3. Lead and manage estates and facilities operations across multiple sites
4. Deliver a safe, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose environment that supports service delivery and future growth
5. Develop and implement estates strategies aligned with organisational objectives
6. Oversee maintenance, compliance, health & safety, and risk management frameworks
7. Manage and monitor budgets, ensuring strong financial control and value for money
8. Lead capital projects from planning through to successful delivery
9. Collaborate with senior leaders to support strategic planning and organisational development
10. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence across estates provision
11. Ensure effective systems are in place to resolve building and facilities issues promptly
12. Lead, develop, and performance manage estates teams across multiple locations
13. Support external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements
14. Identify opportunities to maximise the commercial use of facilities and generate income
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
15. Relevant professional qualification or degree (e.g. estates management, surveying, building services, or health & safety)
16. Demonstrable experience managing estates functions across multiple sites
17. Experience managing large budgets and delivering capital projects
18. Strong knowledge of estates management, health & safety, and relevant legislation
19. Proven ability to lead teams and drive high performance
20. Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
Desirable:
21. Management, coaching, or mentoring qualification
22. Experience within an education or public sector environment
23. Experience of continuous improvement and service transformation initiatives
