This role is based in Glasgow.
Responsibilities
* Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
* Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to the organization’s technology communities.
* Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
* Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
ServiceNow and Technical Requirements
* Expertise in web development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/GLIDE, jQuery, Angular).
* Experience configuring and extending ServiceNow using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, and UI Scripts to meet business needs.
* Expertise with REST/SOAP APIs to integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems.
* Demonstrated experience in at least two ServiceNow products/modules (GRC, IRM, Integration Hub, ITSM, SecOps, Case Management).
Additional Skills
* Design rational and scalable technological designs from functional specs/user stories, aligned to design principles with stakeholders.
* Create new ServiceNow UI forms, procedures, and workflows.
* Develop service portal pages and widgets to support business capabilities.
* Review and guide code of junior team members; oversee development and deployment to ensure industry best practices and compliance.
* Prepare thorough unit test and regression test plans and suites.
