About the Role Apprentify Group is seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Head of People Performance to lead and build the Group’s performance culture. This is a strategic and mission-critical role that is not a traditional HR position. The ideal candidate will be a leader who is passionate about using a data-driven, scientific approach to talent management to design and implement a high performance culture. The main goal is to hire, develop, and retain top-tier talent ("A-players") who will drive exponential growth. This person will be the single owner of the talent management strategy. Key Responsibilities • Performance Management & Framework: Design and execute a data-driven performance management system tied directly to goals, skills, and cultural values. This includes defining clear, measurable goals and KPIs for every role and a thorough probation process. • Talent Acquisition: Develop and lead a systematic, high-bar recruitment process to ensure every new hire raises the overall talent level of the Group. • Compensation and Rewards: Design a compensation and promotion framework that is a true meritocracy. • Culture & Values: Embed and reinforce a culture centred on "getting it done" and "acting like an owner". • Organisational Development: Proactively identify and address underperformance with clear, data-backed processes. • Operational Excellence: Use technology and data to streamline all people management processes, from hiring to offboarding, to ensure efficiency, transparency, and scalability. • Development of Line Manager Capability: Use data to identify line manager skills gaps and put in place effective development to enable individuals to meet the required standards in hiring and performance management. Required Skills & Experience • Background & Mindset: Proven experience in a strategic, non-traditional HR or People leadership role within a high-growth tech company or startup. The ideal candidate treats performance like a maths equation, not an art. • Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to inform people strategy and decision-making. Experience in designing and implementing performance management, compensation, and talent acquisition frameworks from scratch is a must. • Stakeholder Management: Has credibility at the most senior level and able to influence, develop and hold line managers to account for embedding the high-performance systems and processes. • Character: A pragmatic and results-oriented mindset with a history of delivering on challenging goals in a fast-paced environment. Must be a confident, direct communicator who can have difficult conversations while maintaining respect.
