We're hiring a 16-hour Cook to help prepare and serve meals for residents and café customers at Florence Shipley Community Care Centre. We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to help prepare and serve delicious meals for our residents and café customers.
Responsibilities
* Working as part of a supportive team
* Preparing and cooking 100+ meals daily
* Catering to individual dietary needs
* Supporting our public café (40+ covers): serving customers, using the till, and preparing table orders
* Following strict cleanliness and food provision policies
* Managing stock and placing orders
What You’ll Need
* Experience in preparing and cooking meals
* Ideally, experience cooking for large groups, especially older adults
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
* Understanding of special dietary requirements
* Food Safety Level 2 & Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery (desirable but not essential - training provided!)
* Good numerical skills for stock control
Working Hours
Flexible shifts between 8am - 4pm, across 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays.
