Where will you be working?

Aviation - Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.

MGroup Transport (Aviation) are seeking a talented Service Protection Manager to join our Survey team. Primarily supporting our Aviation, Defence and Adjacent Markets sectors covering projects around the Southeast and Midlands.

What will you be doing?

The Survey team provides technical services to a range of construction related disciplines, including invaluable support to our divisional teams and departments within the design and construction phases of projects.

This role is based at Heathrow airport - suitable for existing Survey Managers or, potentially, an experienced Senior Land & Utility Surveyor looking to progress their career to the next level.

What you’ll bring

Expert knowledge of Survey Disciplines, including PAS128 (Utility Detection)

Level 5 QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying

Experience working within the utilities, engineering and/or aviation sectors

Extensive experience of using GPR scanners, GPS and RD series equipment

Ability and willingness to work flexibly (shift / away from base location)

Good grasp of commercial responsibilities

High standard of presentation skills

Good knowledge and understanding of CAD practices.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage work efficiently between multiple projects.

Good communications skills and ability to work well with other teams and departments at all levels both internally and externally, including client liaison.

Share knowledge and coach other team members in order to support improvements in team’s performance.

Keep up to date with legislations and current industry trends.

Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement.

Full UK driving license

5yr Traceable employment

Desirable:

SMSTS or equivalent Site Management Training

Rail Survey Experience

NRSWA Accreditation.

Experience with N4CE survey software

Holder of CSCS accreditation

Basic knowledge of BIM practices

Previous experience in a management role

Good Topographic and Site setting out skills.
