Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Manager will support our UK operations and engineering teams. Leading our UK HR team, responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, employee records, employee relations, and safety. The role is onsite in Woodford Halse, full-time and permanent, primarily Monday to Friday with some flexibility. Direct reports include a safety professional and an HR Administrator.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide consultancy and advisory services to managers on discipline, grievance, and performance improvement, aligning with company values.
2. Develop and recommend changes to HR strategies, policies, practices, and processes.
3. Collaborate with the global HR team on people-related strategies and programs.
4. Facilitate change management activities for HR initiatives.
5. Deliver best practice advice and support, ensuring legal and professional compliance.
6. Negotiate employment offers, prepare contracts, and coordinate onboarding.
7. Support and advise on job descriptions, talent management, employee recognition, and succession planning.
8. Maintain safety programs, conduct safety audits, and investigate incidents.
Key Experience and Competencies
1. Minimum five years of progressive HR management experience.
2. CIPD Level 5 qualification required; Level 7 desirable.
3. Experience with disciplinary processes up to dismissal.
4. Experience with contractual amendments requiring consultation.
5. High integrity and confidentiality.
6. Strong relationship-building skills.
7. People-oriented with excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
8. Preferably experience in a manufacturing environment.
9. Organized with project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
10. Proficient with HR systems and desktop software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
11. Experience leading HR professionals.
