Salary – £28,500

St Benedict Catholic Academy Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Officer to join our central team and support the delivery of a high-quality, professional HR service across the Trust and its academies.
Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Officer will provide first-line HR advice, manage routine employee relations casework, and support Trust-wide HR initiatives, policies and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop their advisory experience within a supportive and values-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-line HR advice to managers on policies, procedures and employment matters
· Manage routine employee relations casework, including absence, conduct, probation and low-level grievances
· Support and lead recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment requirements
· Prepare formal HR documentation and correspondence
· Support the implementation and effective use of HR policies, systems and workforce data
· Contribute to learning and development initiatives and organisational change activity
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience in an HR advisory or HR Officer-level role
· Has sound knowledge of UK employment law
· Is confident providing practical HR advice to managers
· Is well organised, professional and able to manage confidential information
· Has strong communication and IT skills
A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards), experience within education or the public sector, and knowledge of Green and Burgundy Book terms and conditions would be an advantage.
