The Role
As an Assessment Developer, you will:
* Work with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to design and develop reliable, fit-for-purpose assessments for qualifications and End-Point Assessment standards.
* Ensure all assessments are fully compliant with Ofqual General Conditions, DfE, and Skills England requirements.
* Create inclusive and accessible assessments that minimise barriers and reflect best practice in assessment design.
* Use data and feedback to monitor validity, reliability, and performance of assessments, driving ongoing improvement.
* Provide expert guidance in assessment development across the organisation.
* Stay current with developments in digital assessment, assessment theory, and regulatory expectations.
* Support the implementation of new digital platforms and technologies for assessment delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
* Proven experience working within an EPAO or awarding body in an assessment development role.
* Strong understanding of assessment methods, tools, and design principles.
* A track record of developing compliant and innovative assessments within vocational or regulated qualifications.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with a range of stakeholders.
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
