Quality Manager We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join the Operational Excellence and Compliance Department at our Haslingden site. The Quality Manager will lead, coach & develop a team of Quality employees to support the Haslingden site ensuring that products and processes comply with specifications, HACCP principles and BRC/ISO and Customer requirements. Key Areas of responsibility Support the Head of QHSE achieving business targets for complaints, internal NCs and cost reductions. Support the business with ensuring compliance with ISO & BRC standards. Assist continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Support and be able to lead customer and third-party audits. Manage customer complaints (from end-to-end of the process) and facilitate root cause corrective actions to drive complaints down. Facilitate customer complaint investigations. Chair the monthly quality meetings. Report writing and trend analysis. Working with internal teams and customers to improve the quality of products. Developing and managing performance of all direct reports. Provide training on product quality, maintaining training matrix. Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers. Twice-Weekly briefing the production team on quality topics. Member of the HACCP team. Member of the internal audit team. Assist with decisions on product (scrap, rework, reclaim, rewind, etc). ISO 14001 & 45001. BRCGS Packaging standard. HACCP (level 3 certificate or higher). Root Cause Analysis techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team management. Customer complaint handling and response writing. Excellent interpersonal skills. Chemistry, engineering, manufacturing or food industry knowledge/experience. Degree level education in scientific field.
