About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new warehouse facility. This is a freelance role suited to a highly organised leader with a strong background in industrial or logistics-sector builds. You will take full responsibility for site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations across all phases of the warehouse build
* Lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
* Ensure all works meet programme timelines, quality expectations, and budget requirements
* Oversee site health & safety, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce compliance
* Monitor progress, report regularly to the Project / Contracts Manager, and maintain all site documentation
* Resolve technical or operational issues promptly and effectively
* Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, and inspectors as required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on warehouse, industrial, or steel‑frame projects
* Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black / Gold), and First Aid certification
* Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain a well‑organised site
* Competent with reporting tools, site documentation, and quality control processes
