About the Project
Kier Construction has been entrusted with delivering a groundbreaking project: HMP Glasgow. This state-of-the-art facility will replace the ageing Barlinnie prison, providing a safe, secure, and energy-efficient environment for 2000 inmates and staff. With a budget of £750M, this project is set to revolutionize custodial facilities in Scotland, focusing on rehabilitation and utilizing cutting-edge construction methods.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in steering this transformative project to success. Your daily tasks will include:
* Managing sub-contractors and site logistics to ensure safe and high-quality construction delivery.
* Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements to uphold Kier's health and safety standards.
* Coordinating site activities and creatively resolving emerging challenges.
* Maintaining quality standards throughout all construction phases.
* Creating and managing accurate site documentation and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Have experience in a management role within a large construction environment.
* Possess excellent communication skills and thrive in collaborative settings.
* Are passionate about maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
* Hold relevant construction qualifications (HND/Degree/SVQ) or have technical trade experience.
* Have SMSTS certification, a CSCS card, First Aid certification, and a UK driving licence.
