Sun Enviro is seeking a commercially focused and proactive Inside Sales Executive to join our Head Office team in Stowmarket. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of our waste management and recycled aggregates business – a key part of the sustainable construction and environmental services sector.
Initially, the role will focus on providing exceptional customer and sales support while developing a strong understanding of our products, services, and operations. As knowledge and confidence grow, the position will evolve to include proactive inside sales, new business development, and face‑to‑face meetings with customers to build relationships and support account growth.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, delivering prompt and professional support.
* Prepare and issue accurate and competitive quotations for waste management and recycled aggregate products.
* Process customer orders efficiently, including web and telephone transactions.
* Maintain and update the CRM system, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
* Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through research, outbound calls, and lead generation.
* Support the external sales team with tenders, proposals, and strategic sales initiatives.
* Attend face‑to‑face meetings with new and existing customers where appropriate, to develop relationships and explore new opportunities.
* Work closely with Operations and Logistics to ensure customer delivery and service requirements are met.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction.
* Provide administrative and reporting support to the wider sales team.
About You
We are looking for a confident, professional, and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing a sales career within the environmental and construction industries.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
* A proactive, target‑driven approach with a focus on identifying and converting opportunities.
* Demonstrate at least 2+ years of experience within a sales role.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail.
* Confidence to represent the company in both telephone and face‑to‑face interactions.
* Self‑motivation, enthusiasm, and a professional attitude.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
* Experience in telephone‑based sales or customer service (essential).
* Knowledge or interest in waste management, recycling, or construction materials (advantageous).
