You will be based in the Main Kitchen at University Hospital Crosshouse providing in excess of 2000 patient prepared and cooked meals every day, including therapeutic diets to patients, as well as meal services for staff and visitors. In addition we cater and provide hospitality for meetings and functions. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, recording and monitoring of data for HACCP and the Environmental Health.
thereafter an ongoing program of Mandatory & Statutory training.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Have experience in large scale catering preferably within an NHS environment
Hold City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or an S/NVQ qualification along with a Food Hygiene Certificate.
Maintain a high standard of hygiene, recording and monitoring of data for HACCP and the Environmental Health.
You will be required to be proficient in and have knowledge of or undertake training in
Ongoing program of Mandatory & Statutory training.
A degree of flexibility is essential, applicants who wish to be considered, must be available to cover shifts within the department between the hours of 0630 and 1830 including weekends.
