Be Yourself – Be a Bold Team Player – Be LeonardoOnce you’re part of the team, you’re part of the Leonardo community of over 55 hotels across the UK & Ireland!In this position you would be working within the HR department, which covers our Edinburgh & Aberdeen properties. You’ll be primarily based in Edinburgh, with occasional travel to other hotels in your cluster, where necessary. Presence is important in our hotels and offices; we promote an open-door policy within all HR departments! This is an HR generalist role, so you’ll be involved in many different activities within the department!Here are some of the role’s key responsibilities:Recruitment and Selection: support the end-to-end recruitment process including shortlisting, arranging interviews, onboarding activities and reference checksCompliance: maintain personnel files as appropriate, ensure risk assessments are carried out and comply with company policies, procedures and initiativesLearning and Development: support the delivery of new starter induction, and use the Learning Management System to carry out reporting and ensure all admin is completed, such as keying promotions, removing leavers and maintaining training attendance recordsPayroll: resolve any payroll queries, ensure all working time is recorded and advise line managers on any changes to payroll processesEmployee Relations: support/coach line managers with welfare meetings, investigations and any other formal meetings, support with maternity processEngagement: produce monthly calendar of events for the hotels and support the development and delivery of the HR strategy for each of the hotels within the clusterDeputise for the Cluster Human Resources Manager where appropriateAn excellent Cluster HR Officer will have:Previous experience in an HR Administrator/Officer positionCIPD qualification, or working towards one with up-to-date knowledge of employment legislationSelf-motivated and organised with the ability to work well as part of a team- you must be a great team player!An understanding of good HR practice and applicationAbility to act on own initiative and effectively prioritise own workExcellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsAwareness of the importance of confidentiality in HRSome of the perks our HR Officer could enjoy include:Special rates on Leonardo Hotel rooms across the UK & EuropeCompany-wide recognition scheme: you could earn vouchers to spend on a wide range of high street shopsTalent referral schemeThank You Week: from ice cream trucks to yoga classes and lots in between!Wellbeing CalendarOngoing job-related training programmes with clear paths for progressionWe’re committed to creating a workplace where every individual—regardless of background, identity, or lived experience—is welcomed, valued, and respected for who they are.
