Overview
Role: Sales Executive at George Lines Civils & Landscape Merchants (part of Lords Group Trading). Location: Aylesbury. Hours: 7am-5pm, Mon-Fri. This employer is an equal opportunity employer; pay range content is provided by the employer and the actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and commercial customers
* Respond to sales inquiries by phone, email and in person, offering expert product advice
* Raise quotes and process orders accurately and efficiently
* Proactively upsell and promote suitable products to meet customer needs
* Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, sales activity, and pricing
* Collaborate with colleagues across the branch to ensure smooth operations
* Provide occasional cover in the yard and warehouse, including forklift work if trained
* Support stock control and help ensure the branch remains clean, safe and well-presented
Requirements
* Proven sales experience, with a strong track record of hitting targets
* Background in the builders’ merchant or construction supply sector — ideally with civils or groundworks knowledge
* A team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved wherever needed
* Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
* Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
* Comfortable using IT systems and managing multiple priorities
* Forklift experience is desirable (or a willingness to train)
* Eligible to work in the UK
