The Role
As a HR Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our Employee Lifecycle Team, supporting colleagues across all stages of their journey at Babcock. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of our HR operations, helping to build a better workplace for thousands of employees.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
1. Handling internal and external HR enquiries escalated via the PeopleCentre call centre
2. Owning and delivering cases across the employee lifecycle, including leavers, contract variations and policy queries
3. Ensuring all activities meet business standards and legal requirements, including data protection and employment law
4. Resolving payroll queries in collaboration with the Time and Attendance and Payroll teams
5. Maintaining employee benefits such as pensions, private medical insurance and driver checks
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.
Essential experience of the HR Administrator:
6. Previous experience in a fast-paced HR role
7. Excellent time management and organisational skills
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
9. Strong interpersonal skills to engage with employees and managers at all levels
10. A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
Qualifications for the HR Administrator:
11. Standard Grades including English and Mathematics
12. CIPD Level 3 (desired but not essential)
