The Role
HR Administrator – responsible for overseeing HR transactions in relation to Recruitment, HR Admin and Payroll functions, ensuring fast and safe delivery; delivering a professional and high‑quality HR transactional service to managers and staff across the Council; facilitating pre‑employment checks and ongoing employment related monitoring; working in partnership with Resource Officers, Payroll, HRBPs and directorates to meet workforce needs.
Responsibilities
* Oversee HR transactions for Recruitment, HR Admin and Payroll functions, ensuring fast and safe delivery.
* Deliver a professional, high‑quality HR transactional service to managers and staff, addressing and resolving HR queries effectively.
* Facilitate pre‑employment checks, ongoing employment‑related monitoring and adherence to workforce safeguards.
* Partner directly with Resource Officers, Payroll, HRBPs and directorates to ensure workforce needs are met while delivering a professional service.
About You
* Working knowledge of HR recruitment best practice.
* Degree or relevant HR transaction experience.
* Previous recruitment experience in public or private sector.
* Experience of working in an administrative setting.
* Experience of prioritising work to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
* Excellent customer care and communication skills.
* Recruitment admin experience, including volume recruitment.
* Ability to attend the Colindale offices at least 2 days per week.
