Job Title: Learning Mentor

Pay rate: £95–£120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to work in schools across Nottingham (NG3), helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will guide pupils who need extra support with motivation, confidence, organisation, or personal challenges. You will collaborate closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and occasionally outside agencies to ensure pupils receive the right level of support.
This role suits someone patient, understanding, and proactive, with the ability to build positive relationships and encourage pupils to stay engaged in their learning.
Core Responsibilities:
* Offer one-to-one and group support to pupils who need additional academic or emotional guidance.
* Help students develop effective study habits, organisation skills, and confidence.
* Work alongside teachers to identify learning barriers and support action plans.
* Motivate and encourage pupils to engage positively in their lessons.
* Maintain a safe and supportive environment by following safeguarding procedures.
* Keep accurate records and share updates with relevant school staff.
Requirements for a Learning Mentor:
* Experience working with young people in education, youth work, tutoring, or a similar field.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate pupils.
* A patient and calm approach when dealing with challenges.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* A genuine commitment to helping pupils grow and succeed.
