MacGregor Black are partnering with a major, high volume manufacturing organisation on the search for an Engineering Manager. This is a confidential permanent role based in the North of England.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the engineering team, driving plant reliability and supporting daily production targets.
* Build a strong “one team” culture with operations and other site functions.
* Manage team performance, HR processes, and skills development plans.
* Ensure accurate completion of planned maintenance and CMMS data.
* Deliver the site capital plan and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain strong compliance, safety standards, and engineering best practice.
What We're Looking For:
* HND or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
* CI qualification (Green Belt minimum) and IOSH Managing Safely.
* Proven engineering leadership experience—ideally within FMCG.
* Strong background in continuous improvement and TPM tools.
* Experience managing capital projects and working in unionised environments.
* Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder skills.
* Strong CMMS and MS Office (Excel) capability.
