Training Multimedia Developer – Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd
Bring your multimedia expertise to Smiths Group’s Training Excellence Team. The role involves the design and development of digital media assets and content for our online training solutions and communications provided to customers and users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Creation of innovative, immersive multimedia solutions for digital training across multiple sectors.
* Design and delivery of eLearning materials to support the global organisation.
* Design multimedia content from concept to delivery, adhering to design principles.
* Develop UI/UX for learning platforms, classroom delivery and digital learning content, shaping the look and feel of Smiths Excellence digital learning solutions.
* Support the creation of graphics and multimedia for classroom training packages.
* Create and edit film, 3D models, animation and gamified learning experiences.
* Use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects), 2D/3D packages such as Blender, and eLearning tools like Articulate Storyline.
* Apply gaming engines (Unity) for gamification of learning where appropriate.
* Deliver projects on time, within budget, ensuring a 100% accurate learner journey.
* Collaborate with global stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to support the Smiths Excellence Training Strategy.
* Provide consultancy on multimedia development, UI/UX design, and training policy.
* Maintain and update training media assets in line with feedback and emerging technology.
Qualifications
Education – Degree in a related subject preferred; professional experience as a multimedia or UI/UX designer also acceptable.
Technical Skills –
* Design of graphics, multimedia and eLearning content across a range of subjects.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects), Blender, and Articulate Storyline.
* Experience with Unity and other gaming engines is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
* Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
* Ability to work across time zones and cultures in an international team.
* Strong MS Office skills.
