Job Title: ASD Learning Mentor (1-1)Location: Wandsworth, London Employment Type: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:15pm) Salary: Paid to Scale Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ASD Learning Mentor to provide one-to-one support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in managing challenging behaviours and creating a nurturing environment to facilitate learning and personal development. Key Responsibilities: •Provide individualized support and tailored strategies to enhance the educational experience and emotional well-being of students with ASD. •Implement behaviour management techniques effectively and positively, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. •Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and adapt learning materials in line with students' needs. •Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes to relevant stakeholders. •Advocate for the needs of students and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as necessary. •Engage in ongoing professional development and training to remain current with best practices in ASD support. Qualifications: •Proven experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviour, preferably in an educational setting. •Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and best practices in supporting neurodiversity. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
