One of my local government clients is seeking a Nursery Cook to provide essential kitchen cover at a nursery in Haringey for a 5-week period starting this September.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–5.

Cater to specific dietary needs, allergies, and cultural food preferences.
*
Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
*
Ensure food safety regulations and internal policies are strictly followed.
*
Record food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and allergy information.
*
Work closely with the nursery team to plan weekly menus.
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Cook within a nursery, school, or childcare setting.
*
Knowledge of food allergies and special dietary requirements.
*
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (mandatory).
*
Enhanced DBS (must be current or processed before start).
