Required to start as soon as possible.
We are looking to appoint a well-organised, reliable person with strong administrative and computer skills to join ELAT as our HR Officer.
This is a collaborative role, and you will work closely with your fellow HR Officer to ensure continuity, consistency and a high standard of service across the Trust. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will need to co-ordinate effectively with your counterpart to manage shared responsibilities and maintain seamless HR support.
You will be part of the Central Team, working across our four schools, and must be an excellent communicator with a proactive and friendly approach. The ability to multitask, work flexibly and perform well under pressure to meet tight deadlines is essential. You will liaise confidently with school staff, Senior Managers, Trustees and Governors, key stakeholders and external bodies.
If you have the skills and experience we're looking for and are interested in working in a supportive and outcomes-focused environment, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please note: travel between schools is a requirement of this role, so candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Exeter Learning Academy Trust (ELAT) is a partnership of primary schools based in Exeter. The Trust currently has four schools: Alphington Primary School, Bowhill Primary School, Ide Primary School and St Thomas Primary School.
We are a people-focused organisation with strong principles of enabling every child and adult within our Trust to thrive. We have high aspirations for all our children, regardless of their starting point, and, in turn, expect our staff to have high aspirations of themselves. We believe that our strength lies in working together and using our collective skills and expertise to benefit the children in our schools.
If you wish to talk to us further about the role, please contact Pauline Woodbridge by emailing in the first instance. Please include a contact phone number and we will call you.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We encourage you to read our Safeguarding Policy before applying. We will ask for references and conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. This role also requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
