The Role We are looking for an experienced and professional PA/Secretary to provide high-level support to senior directors within a busy public sector organisation. This position requires excellent organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diary management, preparing reports and correspondence, arranging meetings and events, and supervising administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Provide full PA/secretarial support including diary management, correspondence, audio typing, minute-taking, filing, and handling confidential information. Prepare reports, committee papers, and briefing documents to strict deadlines. Organise and support meetings, workshops, travel, and events for Directors and senior management. Act as the first point of contact for senior representatives, elected members, and external stakeholders. Manage and respond to complaints, enquiries, and Freedom of Information requests. Supervise and support administrative staff to ensure effective service delivery. Maintain professionalism, political sensitivity, and confidentiality at all times. Candidate Requirements Five GCSEs (grades A-C) including English, or equivalent qualifications. At least two years' relevant experience in each of the following areas: Diary management and liaising with senior managers or elected members. Secretarial and administrative duties to strict deadlines. Supervising administrative staff in an office environment. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
