Senior Backend Engineer – Mobile - Fully Remote Anywhere in UK & Europe! £115,000 I’m working with a high-growth, consumer-facing mobile platform used by millions globally, who are building out a brand new monetisation engineering function. They’ve recently evolved into a more mature, product-led engineering organisation with dedicated squads aligned to Product, and are now hiring a backend engineer to sit at the centre of how they generate revenue. This is a high-impact role focused on building and scaling the systems behind subscriptions, payments and pricing - owning the reliability and performance of the monetisation funnel end-to-end. What you’ll be doing: Designing and building scalable backend systems that power subscriptions, billing and pricing logic Owning the performance, reliability and correctness of revenue-critical systems Working closely with Product and Data to support experimentation, analytics and growth initiatives Helping shape how monetisation is built as the business continues to scale Tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript AWS DynamoDB What they’re looking for: Strong backend engineering experience in high-scale, consumer-facing products Experience working on business-critical systems (payments, subscriptions, or similar high-throughput environments) Ability to work closely with Product Managers, challenge where needed and prioritise effectively Strong communication skills and a product mindset Nice to have: Experience with in-app purchases or subscription platforms Background in mobile-first products Exposure to analytics, experimentation or feature flagging systems The setup: Fully remote, distributed team Mature squad structure with strong engineering leadership Opportunity to take ownership in a newly formed team with clear progression into leadership If you’re interested, drop me a message or apply and I’ll run you through the details.
