Group HR Manager Opportunity! Are you a strategic HR leader ready to make a real impact in a dynamic, multi-site environment? An established business in the Utilities and Civil Engineering sector is seeking a Group HR Manager to drive people strategy, employee engagement, and compliance across its growing operations. What You’ll Be Doing Shape and deliver HR strategies aligned with business goals and values. Lead recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention initiatives. Champion employee wellbeing, engagement, and development. Oversee training programs and ensure compliance across the group. Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and disciplinary matters. Ensure legal compliance and uphold company policies. Drive HR analytics and reporting (turnover, absenteeism, training). Lead mental health and wellbeing initiatives. Manage HR systems and maintain data accuracy and confidentiality. Develop reward, recognition, and benefits frameworks. Collaborate with senior leadership on workforce planning and organisational design. Data Protection Officer Duties Monitor and advise on UK GDPR and data protection compliance. Maintain policies and deliver training across the business. Act as the main contact for the ICO. What We’re Looking For Proven HR leadership experience, ideally across multiple sites. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. CIPD Level 5 (minimum); Level 7 desirable. Expertise in employee relations, recruitment, L&D, and organisational development. Solid understanding of TUPE regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. Demonstrable knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
