Join a leading aerospace manufacturer and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's Quality strategy and performance.
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead the Quality Department - driving excellence across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP), and ensuring full compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer requirements.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will lead and develop a skilled Quality Assurance team - including Inspectors and Quality Engineers - to deliver exceptional product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
You'll serve as the key point of contact for all quality-related matters, collaborating closely with Operations, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers to uphold the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, motivate, and develop the Quality team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
*Ensure all Quality Assurance systems comply with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer standards.
*Maintain a safe working environment and promote Health & Safety best practices.
*Manage and support internal and external audits, ensuring all accreditation's are maintained.
*Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and "Red Table" activities to improve performance and reduce PPM.
*Champion Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives to eliminate waste and drive efficiency.
*Act as the main point of contact for quality-related customer and supplier interactions.
*Support and present during key customer business reviews.
*Drive the development and implementation of robust quality controls and standardised operating systems.
Essential Skills and Experience
*Proven experience leading a Quality function within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
*Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP standards.
*Demonstrated auditing experience - AS9100 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
*Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
*Skilled in problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement techniques.
*Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
*Minimum HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
