Located in Stevenston, North Ayrshire, Roslin House is a state of the art 8 bedded respite service that supports children and young people ages 5 - 18 with additional and complex support needs to enjoy short stays. We are looking to recruit 1 x Cook to join our dedicated team who will support the Service Manager and team to maintain a positive environment for the young people we support within the Roslin House service. We are looking for a warm, reliable, and values-driven Cook to join our team, supporting children and young people with additional, complex needs. For the young people we support, mealtimes can be a highlight of the day - a chance to feel safe, nurtured, and included. You will play a key role in: Preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals that meet individual dietary, medical, cultural, and sensory needs Creating a calm and welcoming mealtime experience that supports routine and wellbeing Working closely with staff team to understand each young person's preferences and needs Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, infection control, and kitchen safety This role is ideal for someone who: Takes pride in their cooking and enjoys making food that others genuinely look forward to Understands that flexibility, patience, and communication are essential in a care environment Values teamwork and wants to be part of a service where every role contributes directly to positive outcomes for children and young people Experience of working in a care, education, or health setting is welcome but not essential - what matters most is your attitude, reliability, and commitment to high standards.
