This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of a safe, quality, and effective Occupational Health service. The successful candidate will develop and manage the Occupational Health governance framework and lead a core programme of audits covering all aspects of Occupational Health activities. About The Role (External) About the team Our Occupational Health team plays a vital role in protecting and enhancing the health, safety, and wellbeing of our workforce across 22 centres nationwide. We ensure high-quality service delivery through robust governance, quality assurance, and a strong culture of continuous improvement. We manage a comprehensive governance framework and audit programme designed to assess compliance, identify risks, and drive evidence-based enhancements. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, we lead quality projects, share insights, and support the implementation of sustainable improvements. Compliance with key standards—SEQOHS, ISO 45001, RISQS, and CQC—is at the heart of what we do, helping to embed a recognised culture of excellence and accountability. As Clinical Governance and Quality Manager, you’ll oversee the governance framework and coordinate a structured audit programme that spans all aspects of Occupational Health delivery. You’ll lead and support assurance activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external standards while maintaining the highest levels of safety and service quality. You’ll play a key role in shaping and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based practice. Working closely with the Head of Occupational Health Delivery, you’ll manage quality-focused initiatives aimed at optimising service delivery, clinical outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Your day may include analysing and reporting on audit outcomes, conducting complex audits, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders to secure buy-in for recommended improvements. You’ll also develop and maintain processes to support ongoing accreditation and compliance with standards such as SEQOHS, ISO 45001, RISQS, and CQC, ensuring quality remains at the core of everything we do. Who are we looking for? We’re seeking a motivated skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in Occupational Health governance and quality assurance. You’ll have an excellent understanding of frameworks such as SEQOHS, ISO 45001, RISQS, and CQC, and a proven ability to apply these effectively to support compliance and drive improvement. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills will enable you to interpret audit findings and identify opportunities for meaningful change. Equally important are your communication and influencing skills—allowing you to engage confidently with stakeholders, present findings clearly, and gain commitment to quality initiatives.
