Role Overview:
Join Spirax Group as a Group Enterprise Data Architect, reporting directly to the Group Head of Data and Analytics. This hybrid role requires a minimum of four days per month in Cheltenham and occasional travel. You will shape our global data strategy, influence business unit architects, and promote consistency in enterprise data architecture.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
* Leading the strategic direction for data solutions across the Spirax Group.
* Collaborating with stakeholders and IS/IT teams to understand needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
* Mentoring Data/IT colleagues via a Community of Excellence.
* Building relationships with technology partners, evaluating tools and services.
* Providing technical guidance on data projects.
* Managing data platform costs within budget.
* Aligning data architecture strategies across business units.
Your previous experience is likely to include…
* Extensive experience in software or data solution delivery, including data architecture.
* Experience in architecting data platforms, especially using medallion architecture (e.g., Databricks).
* Knowledge of Microsoft data tools (Azure, Fabric, Synapse).
* Skills with Python, data governance tools, and access control frameworks.
* Experience with MDM tools and data pipelines.
* Financial awareness in managing architecture and cloud budgets.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related STEM field.
* Support for analytics and machine learning initiatives.
